We run the Ha Giang Loop in three shapes: on a motorbike in a shared group, on a motorbike privately, and in a vehicle with a driver. Two, three or four days, and every price on this page is our own 2026 listed price.
These are our own tours, at our own published prices. Jasmine Tours is the company behind this site — everything below is ours, and the prices are the 2026 list, read on 20 August 2026 and converted at 26,179₫ to the dollar the same day.
Every price on this page includes the return bus between Hà Nội and Hà Giang, both legs. That is the line most comparisons leave out.
Which of these is yours
Four questions sort almost everybody, and each of them has a page behind it that goes further than a product list should.
| The question | If the answer is… | Read before you book |
|---|---|---|
| Do you ride? | Yes → self-drive. No → a local driver, or four wheels. | What the driver actually costs |
| How many days have you got? | Three suits most people. Four is the better trip. | The day splits, and the reasoning |
| How many of you are there? | Three or more changes the four-wheel arithmetic completely. | The occupancy curve |
| What is actually inside the price? | Seven things, and four that never are. | What a package is made of |

On a motorbike, in a shared group
The standard way to ride the loop. Dorm accommodation, a group of riders, and either you ride or a local driver rides and you sit behind them.
| Trip | Ride it yourself | With a local driver |
|---|---|---|
| 2 days, 1 night | 3,369,600₫ (US$129) | 3,939,840₫ (US$150) |
| 3 days, 2 nights | 4,276,800₫ (US$163) | 5,650,560₫ (US$216) |
| 4 days, 3 nights | 5,184,000₫ (US$198) | 7,128,000₫ (US$272) |
Included: return sleeper bus · dorm bed · meals as listed (nine on the three-day trip) · the bike and its fuel · sightseeing tickets, including the boat through the Tu Sản canyon on the Nho Quế river · a guide · a local driver if you choose easy rider.
Add-ons: a private room from 432,000₫ per room per night (648,000₫ for a two-bed room) · a 125cc bike at 237,600₫ a day, a 150cc at 594,000₫.
On a motorbike, privately
Your own group, up to eight people, with a private room and the VIP cabin bus instead of the sleeper.
- 3 days, 2 nights — 6,419,520₫ (US$245)
- 4 days, 3 nights — 8,100,000₫ (US$309)
By SUV or Jeep
The same route without a bike. Worth reading the price per head rather than the headline: the vehicle costs what it costs, and you are dividing it.
| 3 days, 2 nights | 1 person | 2 people | 3+ people |
|---|---|---|---|
| SUV (max 5) | 9,445,274₫ | 6,601,357₫ | 4,931,617₫ |
| Jeep Wrangler (max 4) | 17,280,683₫ | 10,926,360₫ | 8,808,480₫ |
Included: a private room for the whole trip · return bus · an English-speaking driver · the vehicle and its fuel · sightseeing tickets, including the Nho Quế boat · drinking water each day · meals as listed.
At three people or more, an SUV works out below the price of a seat behind a motorbike driver — 4,931,617₫ against 5,650,560₫ — and it already carries the private room that costs extra on the bike package. At two people it reverses. If you want that arithmetic laid out properly, it is in the cost breakdown.
Cao Bằng and Bản Giốc
A separate three-day trip, by motorbike or Jeep, with a local guide, private homestay rooms, the Pác Bó tickets and the Bản Giốc waterfall boat. The bus is not included on this one.
What we do and do not cover
We carry a policy for you: Bảo Việt, the standard operator cover, with a death benefit of 50,000,000₫. It is a minimum-level policy and we would rather say so plainly — it is not travel insurance and it is not a substitute for travel insurance.
So buy your own before you arrive, and check that it covers motorbikes. Open the policy document and search it for the word “motorcycle”; if there is an exclusion, that is where it will be.
What we do cover properly is the bike itself. If it goes down and cannot be ridden, moving or replacing it is our cost, not yours.
When we are not the right choice
We are not the cheapest on this road, and that is deliberate. We pay tax in full, we keep our drivers on the payroll through the low season, and income tax is withheld across it. When you see this route sold well below our price, the difference came out of something — usually the meals, the state of the bike, or the person riding in front of you.
If the lowest number is what you are optimising for, we are not it. And if you have ridden a semi-automatic bike on wet mountain roads before, ride it yourself: self-drive is the honest cheaper option, and we sell that too.
Common questions
How much is a Ha Giang Loop tour?
From 3,369,600₫ (about US$129) for two days riding yourself, to 7,128,000₫ (US$272) for four days with a local driver, per person, dorm bed. Four-wheel trips run from 4,931,617₫ a head in an SUV with three or more in the car. All of those are our listed 2026 prices and all include the return bus from Hà Nội.
Is the bus from Hanoi included?
Yes, both legs, in every price on this page. It is the single largest line that comparisons leave out, so check it on anything you put next to us. Joining from Sapa, Ninh Bình, Hạ Long or Cát Bà instead carries a small connecting supplement.
Do I need a licence to ride?
Booking a tour does not make you legal to ride, and no guide can ride your bike for you. What you need and why is on the permit and licence page. If the answer is no, take a local driver or a vehicle — both are on this page.
Dorm or private room?
The shared motorbike trips are dorm beds; a private room is a supplement. The SUV and Jeep trips include a private room for the whole route. What a night on this route actually is is worth reading before you decide.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The trip runs. This is a working road and rain is part of the year rather than an exception — which month gives you what sets out the trade honestly, including the months we would steer you away from.
Booking, and changing your mind
Payment is in USD or VND, settled before the trip starts. Cancelling between 30 and 16 days before departure costs 50% plus any bank charges; inside 15 days you lose your deposit; not turning up costs the full amount. Departures over Tết carry a 10% surcharge.
